Dr. Yao attended a networking and career discussion event organized by the Girls’ Leadership Committee (GLC) at McLean High School. As one of the panelist, Dr. Yao shared her experiences and insights of being a female engineer and professor for young women interested in STEM majors.

Our joint research work with Virginia Tech was funded by 4-VA. This one-year research projects will study teaching practices and curricular innovations with the applications of robotics that will engage students and improve learning experiences for students in the STEM field of Construction Engineering and Management (CEM).
