Our newest blimp agent: the Sky-Gripper, crafted with precision by my ECE senior design team, participated in the “Defend the Republic” blimp competition.
Inspired by the iconic “The Claw” in Toy Story, the Sky-Gripper is a colossal apparatus, stretching over 7 meters with its arms fully extended. Its design is not just about scale; it’s the epitome of efficiency in autonomous defense and ball interception in the Defend the Republic Robotic Blimp Competition.

Completion of Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program (ASSIP)
This summer, Ciao lab hosted 3 high-school interns ASSIP and 2 high-school student volunteers. The students worked on robotic blimp development and human robot interaction experiment and completed the summer project sucessfully.
